With over 15 years of experience in social services and counseling, I've had the privilege of supporting people gain the skills needed to live emotionally healthier lives.
The inspiration behind Vulnerable City came from recognizing how difficult it can be for people to discuss the real issues that are plaguing them, due to the fear of being misunderstood or ridiculed.
Clients would often leave a session with me and remark how long it had been since they admitted to themselves or another, how much pain they were in. Soon after, I decided to create a space where telling hard truths was encouraged.
Through my work, I have seen people blossom after releasing truths that had kept them emotionally hostage. I hope that Vulnerable City inspires people to begin the healing journey needed to start living authentic lives.
